Parked along the beach, grading papers again, I took this with my cell phone camera (see car mirror) directly into the sun. It looks as if the sun is burning a hole through the camera's sensor; probably similar to what happens to the retina when you look at the sun. Fortunately, I didn't need to look through the lens when I shot this.
