Today I spent some time watching and photographing the hang gliders at Torrey Pines, just north of the Salk Institute. It's a great place to park and eat lunch, read, or grade some papers, getting away from the desk and enjoying the fresh air. Today's views were shrouded a bit by the haze, but the winds were up and 10-15 people were in the air.
